2012-12-11 Natal – Rio Branco, Brazil / Mother of God / Mutter Gottes / Mãe de Deus / Madre de Dios

In 2009, while in Marbella, Spain an inner voice told me to go!

I asked, ‘Where?’ and the inner voice answered, ‘Madre de Dios!’

Madre de Dios is a region in southeastern Peru, bordering Brazil and Bolivia.

The name of the region is derived from the Madre de Dios River, a tributary of the Amazon, and named by ethnic Spanish colonists.

It is a very common Spanish language designation for the ‘Virgin Mary’, literally meaning ‘Mother of God’.

I asked, ‘When?’ and the inner voice answered, ’21st of December 2012!’

The 2012 phenomenon was a range of beliefs that cataclysmic or transformative events would occur around the 21st of December 2012.

This date was regarded as the end-date of a 5,126-year-long cycle in the Maya Long Count calendar.

Certain interpretation held that the date marks the start of a period during which Earth and its inhabitants would undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, a global transformation of Consciousness.

I asked, ‘What if this is all monkey-business?’ and I answered to myself, ‘Chico Mendes

Chico Mendes was a Brazilian rubber tapper, trade union leader and environmentalist, born in a rubber reserve called Seringal Bom Futuro, outside of Xapuri, a small town in the state of Acre.

He fought to preserve the Amazon rainforest, and advocated for the Human rights of Brazilian peasants and indigenous peoples.

I asked, ‘What if this is all monkey-business?’ and I answered to myself, ‘Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca is used largely as a treasured sacrament.

People working with ayahuasca often align themselves with the philosophies and cosmologies associated with shamanism, as practiced among indigenous peoples of the Peruvian Amazon.

Ayahuasca affects the Human Consciousness for less than six hours, beginning half an hour after consumption and peaking after two hours.

Individuals experience significant psychological stress during the experience.

The psychedelic effects of Ayahuasca include visual and auditory stimulation, the mixing of sensory modalities, and psychological introspection that may lead to great elation, fear, or illumination.
