Beauty Within / Innere Schönheit / Beleza Dentro / Belleza Dentro

Beauty is not passive. It is fierce, an energizing force that draws you forth and shapes your life. Native American traditions know this. The Navajo and Apache hold that you need to walk in beauty.

Beauty within is the seventh direction, lived in harmony with Earth, Sky, East, South, West and North. It is the center through which the other directions are actualized in your life.

Beauty within speaks to the trajectory of your individual life, your own direction. Only you can walk your path.

This is the beauty you shape through your living. It is also the beauty that, at the same time, shapes you.

There is a lot of beauty in the World. Humans are able to find beauty in almost any expression of art, object or being. Humans have the ability to perceive it and the passion to admire it.

But when we talk about people, the concept is disfigured. We forget that each person can be beautiful beyond their physique. Far beyond the triviality of the outside appearance.

Beauty in its simplest, purest form is the voice of the soul. It is something we are all born with. In the early days of life, your true beauty is recognized and celebrated by everyone around you.

If you are holding a baby in your arms, or witnessed the gleam in a baby’s eye, it is very apparent the true Human spirit shines through.

If our eyes only saw souls instead of bodies how very different our ideals of beauty would be.

Time and socialization has a way of dimming the brightness of your light  -making it that much harder for you to embrace the true beauty in yourself and one another.

You are constantly informed by media and unrealistic societal ideals what beauty is supposed to look and act like. It can become confusing to remember your beauty shines from within.

So many have been brainwashed to believe beauty and truth is somehow attached solely to external appearance.

We spread this belief around to one another by being confused about who we truly are and disconnecting from our truth; or by judging others by appearances only.

It is so easy to forget that ‘Who you are’ deep down is about so much more than how you look.

When you place too much importance on your outer Self, at the expense of your inner Self, you lose sight of what makes you truly authentic and beautiful.

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart. – Kahlil Gibran
