You only get one shot at this life, so make it a good one. Do it for yourself and no one else. Time is a monster that can not be reasoned with.

What if you wake up one day, 10 years from now, and everything has blown right by you as if it were 3 minutes … gone … just like that.

If you are not careful with your choices, and if you choose to look too far ahead rather than right here, right now, you are at risk of being swept away in a wave of memories that will soon vanish if you do not learn to stop and live the moment.

You have the ability to go anywhere, be anybody, at anytime, in anyplace but you are not willing to spend energy in concentrating.

You can not focus on anything because it demands mental effort. You do not want to waste energy thinking.

Getting distracted is easier.

And being absent minded is great, that is why Netflix, radio stations, movies, social networks, drugs, drinks and cigarettes exist.

All these tools exist so that you do not pay attention to your choices, your attitudes, your life.

First I was dying to finish school and finish university.

And then I was dying to finish university and start working.

And then I was dying to marry and have children.

And then I was dying for my children to go to school so I could return to work.

And then I was dying to retire.

And now, I am dying … and suddenly I realize I forgot to live.

You are constantly having thousands of thoughts per minute. The trend is nonstop thinking. You got used to having an inner chat. Your mind never stops.

At every moment you are having thoughts which are linked to the past and to the future.

These frequent and uninterrupted thoughts you have about the past involve everything you have gone through, everything that has made you feel bad, everything that you are not able to accept, to forget or to forgive.

If you are not connected to the past, you project yourself into the future, thinking about what you are going to do in the next moment.

You are mentally planning yourself for the next few minutes, days, weeks and months.

Be mindful. Be in the present. Live the moment. 

Now is the time to follow that dream.

Now is the time to be with your love ones.

Now is the time to make amendments.

Now is the time to forgive.

Now is the time to move on.
