When life takes you to the darkest night, absolutely no one around you can understand how you feel or what you are going through. Others may have had a similar experience, but only you can react to your situations the way that you do. You are forced to stare at yourself, as though you are standing in the mirror and gazing deep into your very soul. As you engage in these moments of forced self-intimacy, you make crucial decisions that redefine who you are, what you want and what you are willing to accept or not accept for your life.
There are times in your life when everything piles on top of you, and as a result, you make decisions for your life that are not healthy, nor wise – wrong relationships, poor choices in behaviour patterns, addictions and more. Friends and loved ones may tell you you are on a destructive path, but you do not listen, as it is a path that brings you comfort in the moment.
There are times in your life that you are given a place to breakdown. It is through this breaking down experience, you undergo a powerful transformation, letting go of all that no longer serves you, arriving at a moment of awakening. Now you rebuild yourself, truly discovering who you are, what you are about and everything that you stand for. These are the powerful moments of true awakening.
It is the choices that you are forced to make, during this darkest night, that lay the foundation of your powerful life change. You live life only once and so make a decision to start again and paint whatever picture you desire for your future. Your darkest night will become your catalyst to pursuing life in all its fullness.
And as a result I embarked upon a crazy adventure.
