Humans get used to almost everything and I am in the process of getting used to sleep while I am sitting. I got easily used to eat Colombian potato 3 times a day, I got used to live of 5 Euros a day and I got used to carry my 15 kilogram backpack with me all the time and so I would carry it to the center of Medellin today. I left the terminal north and walked over the bridge to the metro station Caribe.

A lady wanted to practice her English and insisted to help me but she actually did not know anything, not the metro station for the center and not for the museum of Antioquia but involved easily 5 more passengers in just a minute. I was surrounded.

I got off at the metro station Parque Berrio and was in the center; I walked down the steps onto the square, to the church, to the stock market and to the Nacional bank and met the first Botero bronze statue.

Just down the road and to the right and I stood in front of the museum of Antioquia and in the middle of the Botero plaza and met the second Botero bronze statue, met the third Botero bronze statue, the fourth and so on, a total of 23 statues.

There was more Botero, more art inside the museum but I did not want to pay an entrance fee and walked the shopping streets instead. While I was walking I remembered the problem with my battery.

I was standing in front of a commercial center and asked the security for a photo shop inside but he referred me to a photo shop across the street. I had passed the photo shop a minute ago but I was not looking for a battery a minute ago, now I was.

I entered the photo shop, they had about 20 cameras from different companies on display and I considered that to be a good sign. I was referred to the back, to the technical department; the assistant started looking, nothing, looked on the computer, picked up a box, opened the box, pulled out a case, a case similar to the case of the photo shop in Cartagena de Indias and I considered that to be a good sign. She opened the case, handed me the battery and I entered the battery into the shaft, turned the camera on and the battery was working and I considered that to be a good sign. I tested the charger and the battery was loading, I tested the price and with 95.000 Pesos a little expensive but I bought the battery and I considered that to be a good sign.

I used the old battery to the end, put in the new battery and continued to the Cisneros square. I checked on the new battery and the new battery had lost 25 % of its energy in just half an hour and I considered that to be a nightmare.

The problem was not the battery, the problem was not the charger, the problem was somewhere inside the camera. One tear rolled over my cheek but then I figured that having 2 batteries now is not that bad either; 2 batteries for half a day each equals 1 battery for the day, kind of.

I had to believe in this mind made, homemade mathematical equation to feel good about my purchase. I finished my sightseeing for today and took the bus now to the bus terminal south. I was hoping to find a similar infrastructure like in the bus terminal north and wanted to look for the best bus out of the city for tomorrow.

The bus terminal south had the same look as the bus terminal north, the same architecture, the same design, a different layout, was a bit smaller and less busy. I spotted the recharge station which was right next to the waiting area, right next to a bench. I sat down, relaxed and connected the computer. With beginning of the night I became hungry, walked outside and to the only snack stand around and had French fries. Back to the terminal, a quick drink and back to work. I figured that the sleeping regulations were the same and checked the national airport but all doors were closed and all lights off. I chose a bench and tried to sleep, tried to lie down.
