The past was coming back; the memories of my not so recent travels along the route of my project Rio 2016 returned to my memory, my friends Irene and Claudio had sent messages about their arrival and had made their way yesterday evening to Caraubas. My baby Matilda and I had been waiting for them at the main square and had been very happy when they finally arrived. After some big and intensive hugs we sat down at the BBQ snack bar and had some grilled chicken, grilled sausage and some cold drinks.

My friends had decided to stay in Caraubas for some days in case they would find a secure parking place for their van. They measured the van to see if he would make it up the ramp to my small beach house without hitting the roof. Unfortunately the space on the ramp was too tight, too narrow and the roof of my small beach house too low. Luckily the only other Gringo of the village had a cold beer at the beach bar, inquired about the van, started a conversation with my friends and offered a secure parking space at his house at the end of the village.

My baby Matilda did enjoy the new company, the new friends and their dog. She was excited and she showed it, to the new company, the new friends and their dog. I had nothing to offer really, I still did not have a refrigerator or an oven, I still did not have a television or a cell phone and I still did not have a bed or a sofa. I was not sure if I actually wanted all these things, I was not sure if I would stay in Caraubas, if I would stay in my small beach house.

In order to resolve my personal situation I had been in Natal already more than I wanted to. With every visit, I met more and more old business partners, old clients and even met new business partners and new clients. With every visit, I was dragged back to my old business world and away from my project Rio 2016. I was not sure if I actually wanted all this, I was not sure if I wanted to stay in Brazil.
