Family means Love / Familie bedeutet Liebe / Família significa Amor / Familia significa Amor

Life has changed so much with the advancement of technology, changing cultural norms, new priorities, and new forms of communication.

It is a natural question what the importance of the family is, a dying institution that has no place in modern life or just as relevant as it ever was.

The definition of family has evolved, but its importance remains. The old definition of family was one man and one woman who were married, and their children.

The current definition is somewhat open and inclusive. A family might be two parents of any gender, married or not. The children may have been born to one of the parents, both parents, or adopted.

The social unit called family is tasked with meeting the basic needs of those family members who can not provide for themselves as minors, elderly, or disabled, or, can not afford enough to live by themselves.

Basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and clean air are accessible when one or more member can provide these things for the whole family.

Family means Love and someone that will always be there for you through the good times and the bad. It is about encouragement, understanding, hope, comfort, advice, values, morals, ideals, and faith.

Family provides a framework of values to each of its members, a setting for personal growth and is the single most important influence in a child’s life.

The ultimate beauty in a home is its emotional and spiritual warmth. Each healthy home is a macrocosm of the entire universe.

Harmony at home, within a family, translates into harmony between families and communities and nations.

If there is no harmony between people who are related by blood, how can you expect to create harmony between strangers.

Make your home truly beautiful by introducing spirituality into your home, welcoming guests, and talking with your family about our responsibilities as good-hearted people.

Your children will grow up to remember their home as a place of warmth and kindness, where people felt comfortable to gather and talk about things that matter.

The Holocaust dealt a mortal blow to the family and to Jewish life in general and had a deep effect on Society in both Europe and the rest of the World.

Jews lived in a state of peril and persecution until the deportations began. Even before they were deported they suffered from a permanent lack of the normal family framework.

With the beginning of deportation, partings were inevitable, especially when families attempted to smuggle children out of the ghettos in an attempt to save their lives.

In most cases, this separation proved permanent, since the parents did not survive.

In an effort to maintain their humanity and their normal lives, fathers and mothers were faced with unfathomable circumstances and decisions.

Between 1941 and 1945 across german-occupied Europe, Nazi Germany, aided by local collaborators, systematically murdered some 6 million Jews, around two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population.

The murders were carried out in pogroms and mass shootings; by a policy of extermination through lábour in concentration camps; Auschwitz, Belzec, Chelmno, Majdanek, Sobibór, and Treblinka.
