The end of Decadence / Das Ende der Dekadenz / O fim da Decadência / El final de la Decadencia

The word Decadence, which at first meant simply ‘decline’ in an abstract sense, is now most often used to refer to a perceived decay in standards, morals, dignity, religious faith, or skill at governing, among the members of the elite of a very large social structure, such as an empire or nation state.

It may refer to a decline in art, literature, science, technology, and work ethics, or to self-indulgent behaviour.

In the 21st century, Electric Vehicles saw a resurgence due to technological developments and an increased focus on renewable energy and an estiamtion is that by 2025, all passenger cars sold in Europe will be electric or hybrid electric.

Rapid battery cost declines, rising commitment from major automakers, strong policy support from state and local governments, and low operational costs have put Electric Vehicles on track to pass gasoline-powered vehicles.

Indeed, U.S. Electric Vehicles sales have grown an average of 32% annually from 2012 to 2016 and 45% over the year 2017.
